Q) Where do I go to get my blood drawn?
A) Laboratory Corporation of America performs our blood draws at no extra charge to you. Note these services are not available in Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey or Rhode Island.
Q) How do I find a Lab Corp near me?
A) Simply click Find A Lab Near You to locate the LabCorp Center near you (https://www.labcorp.com/wps/portal/findalab/).
Q) Do you use any other labs besides LabCorp?
A) Yes. Doc Edwards Health & Fitness offers testing with CPL and some other specialty laboratories.
Q) Can I order lab panel if I live outside the United States?
A) No. We can only offer blood tests to people residing in the continental US and in Anchorage, AK.
Q) Will I receive an actual prescription for these blood tests?
A) You will receive a LabCorp requisition form in the mail or via email, which you will take with you for the blood draw.
Q) Is there an expiration date on my blood test order?
A) Yes. Your requisition form for the blood draw is only good for 6 months from the date the order is placed.
Q) How and when will I get my results?
A) Results can be sent to you by regular mail or fax. Or you can view them online via a LapCorp patient portal. Most tests arrive within 5 days of testing, but may take up to 2 weeks depending on the test.
Q) Who can explain the results to me?
A) Discuss your results with your personal physicians and/or health care provider. You can also schedule a consult with one of our practitioners (a fee may apply).
Q) Can’t my own doctor order blood tests for me?
A) Yes, but we will save you time and money. Most doctors are not willing to order blood tests for preventative purposes.
Q) Are these tests covered by my insurance company?
A) This blood test service is for informational purposes only. We do not give specific medical advice, ICD codes, or CPT codes. When you purchase a blood test or panel, you are doing so with the understanding that you are privately paying for these tests. There is no billing to Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance under any circumstances.
